Wheat flour “empanada” with mussels or “xoubas” (pilchards)
Just the way we like it at home: with fine, tender and golden pastry, and a tasty, very juicy filling. This “empanada” (Galician pie) will win over any palate!
The key? We knead the dough by hand and fill it, according to your choice, with fresh mussels or “xoubas” (pilchards) from the Galician “rias” (estuaries), which we sauté with peppers and onions from local vegetable gardens. We bake it all, let it cool down and then vacuum-seal it so that you can enjoy it at home with all its freshness.
